Trending people and trending tags are indicators of a broadcaster's popularity on YouNow.

As users and tags become more popular, they move up the trending list to become more easily discoverable to viewers. Broadcasters and hashtags on YouNow trend through a combination of factors, including but not limited to:

• Total broadcast likes
• Broadcast activity (chat, giving stickers and bar-based gifts, etc.)
• Number of viewers
• How quickly likes accumulate
• Broadcast length

Tips to gain viewers in your broadcast: 

• Promote your broadcast to your Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, etc., and invite your friends to watch before you go live.
• Be animated! If you're enjoying yourself, then so will your viewers, and they will help to promote your broadcast.
• Be entertaining and kind to your audience! When you do have viewers, make sure to ask them questions to keep them engaged.
