How do I notify my Discord server when I go live on YouNow?

 You can send an automated message to your Discord server each time you go live on YouNow by creating a webhook and connecting it to your YouNow account. Follow the steps below:

  1. Open Discord and navigate to your server settings for the server you would like to post your message.
  2. In the server settings navigate to the Integration section and select Webhooks.
  3. Click ‘Create Webhook’, enter a name and select the channel you want to post your message.
  4. Copy the Webhook URL
  5. Open your YouNow settings on web and navigate to Connect Accounts.
  6. Scroll down to the Discord section and paste the URL where it says ‘Add webhook link here’.
  7. The next time you go live on YouNow will notice the Discord icon is selected. This indicates that you have successfully connected the webhook and your fans will be notified when you go live.

 

How do I promote my Discord server on my broadcast and profile page?

You can prompt your Discord server on your broadcast and profile page by adding your invite link in your YouNow settings. Follow the steps below:

  1. Open Discord and navigate to the server you’d like to promote on YouNow.
  2. Open the dropdown menu next to the Server Name and select the ‘Invite People’ option to generate an invite link.
  3. Ensure the invite link is configured to never expire and that it has no limit and select ‘Copy’. 
  4. Open your YouNow settings on web and navigate to Connect Accounts.
  5. Scroll down to the Discord section and paste the URL where it says ‘Add invite link here’.
  6. Once the link has been added, fans viewing your broadcasts and profile page will be able to click the Discord icon and join your Discord server.
